Regulation Class Attire

Required Leotard Style and Color: 

Beginning in Kindergarten, each group of dance classes is assigned a required style and leotard color. Dancers must choose and purchase their leotard, in the required color, from the approved Regulation leotard styles available through the BDC Nimbly Shop. This leotard will be worn to every dance class.

Required Shoes, Tights & Optional Dancewear: 

Although you can buy all of your dancer’s class attire through the BDC Nimbly Shop, it is not required to do so. The only item required to purchase through the Shop is a leotard. 

If you would like to purchase shoes, tights, dance shorts/leggings, and other accessories elsewhere, please see your class’s specific Class Attire List (below) for details on what exactly to purchase.

If you are ordering from the BDC Nimbly Shop and are not being fitted in-studio, use this as a guide for sizing:

  • BALLET SHOE

    • Size up 2 sizes from your street shoe.

    • Round up to the nearest whole size.

  • STRETCH JAZZ BOOT

    • Each shoe has a unique fit, follow our suggestions to help size for this shoe

    • Child Sizes: add 2 to street shoe

    • Adult Sizes: fits true to women's street shoe size, add 2 to men's street shoe size

  • EASY-ON STUDENT TAP SHOE

    • Sizing can vary between footwear products depending on materials and construction details, so we have some resources to help you choose the best size for each style

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Return/Exchange Policy

Eligible Items: Dancewear (within 30 days of shipment). Costumes are only eligible for exchange (within 20 days of shipment). Tights are not eligible.

Request Process: Submit through the online RMA form in your Order History.

Exchanges: Processed as new orders. Select a substitute product during RMA submission.

Refunds: Credited to the original credit card within 20 business days of return receipt.

Condition: Items must be in new condition with original packaging. Shoe boxes must be inside a shipping box. Do not tape or damage your shoe box or the item will be refused. Soft goods such as ballet shoes, leotards, skirts, shorts, pants and socks may be packaged in a poly bag.

Labeling: Receive a pre-paid UPS return label via email after completing the RMA form. Include the RMA Summary in the package.
