BDC’s Core Program continues in 4th and 5th Grades with Progressions. The Core Program is for those who aim to be well-rounded dancers, learning multiple styles. Electives are also available for this age group.

Progressions 1 - 4th Grade
Progressions 2 - 5th Grade
Progressions will meet twice weekly with the same core group. This class will provide dancers the repetition to maximize their ability to progress and become skilled, well-rounded dancers.
In Progressions, dancers will learn ballet, tap, and jazz. Their jazz class will include styles such as lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. These dancers will perform at least 3 dances in the Recital.
A Note about Ballet: Ballet is an essential component to developing as a dancer. All technical work such as leaps, turns, kicks, extensions, and body control stem from ballet training. The necessary understanding of body alignment and isolations come from ballet training as well. Ballet allows dancers to quickly pick up the styles of jazz, lyrical, and contemporary.
Tuition: Pricing Varies by Program
Two Tuition Payments: 1st upon Registration and 2nd on Dec 3rd.
Costume Fee: $125 per Costume (3 Costumes)

Tween Contempoary
5th-7th Grades
In these elective contemporary classes, dancers will explore the contemporary style of dance which includes both lyrical and modern dance genres. Dancers will focus on using expression and emotions while dancing. They will use technique as well as unconventional body movements to convey a story or concept. Dancers will perform ONE dance in the Recital.

Hip Hop Hour
4th-6th Grades, 5th-7th Grades
In Hip Hop Hour, dancers will explore their individual style and dance to popular music. They will learn to move to the beat, building musicality, control, and coordination. Dancers will perform ONE dance in the recital. These classes mix 4th-6th grades and 5th-7th grades.
Tuition: Two separate payments of $540*
